FAQs
Below are the most frequently asked questions. If you are still not able to find the answer to your question then please call +44 (0)7361 010529 or email info@sibbecksfarm.co.uk and we will be happy to help

Do you have tent pitches?
We do not have any tent pitches and only have our own safari tent accommodation available for hire.

Do you allow dogs?
Yes, we do allow dogs. However, the hedges surrounding the glamping meadow are not secure to contain dogs, and as we are surrounded by farm land holding cows, sheep, chickens, ducks etc it is important that dogs are kept on a lead.
What do I need to bring?
We aim to provide most things you will need for your stay – for example, we provide bedding & towels, kitchen utensils, BBQ, cosy rugs etc. An email will be sent to you a week before your stay with a detailed list of what is provided and what you may wish to bring with you.
How warm are the tents?
Most guests are pleasantly surprised by how warm they feel in our tents. Each has a wood burning stove in the lounge/diner area, and our beds are fitted with electric blankets to keep you toasty at night.

Do you allow 1 night stays?
No, unfortunately not. In peak season (i.e. school holidays) we only allow minimum 3 or 4 night bookings, checking in/out on Monday & Friday. Out of peak season we allow 2 nights stays.
Is there WIFI?
No, unfortunately not. But we do have excellent phone network coverage in the area. We do have a portable EE MIFI device that can provide 5G coverage if required.
What utilities are provided?
The tents are connected to mains electricity & mains water. The water is fine to drink.
What cooking facilities are provided?
Each tent has its own kitchen which is equipped with all the cooking utensils, cutlery, glasses, cups you might require, sink, microwave, toaster, cooking hob, and full size fridge. In addition there is a BBQ for outdoor cooking.

Are there laundry washing facilities?
No we do not have any laundry washing facilities at our site. But there are laundrettes in Ventnor, which is only a 10 minute drive from us.

Is wood & charcoal provided?
The tent is pre-stocked with a basket of wood, kindling, lighters & matches. Additional wood can be purchased from our honesty shop. Charcoal can be purchased from our honesty shop.
Can guests visit us during our stay?
Yes, but please advise us so we are aware.
How many guests can sleep in each tent?
Meadow Escape – sleeps 4 people by default. When pre-agreed and paid for, an additional 2 people can sleep in the day bed, and 1 camp bed can be set up in the bunk room
Stream Escape – sleeps 5 people by default. When pre-agreed and paid for, an additional 2 people can sleep in the day bed
Can we bring our own tent, caravan or motor home in addition to hiring your safari tent?
We do not allow guests to bring their own accommodation. We can provide additional bell tents for guests if required however. Please email info@sibbecksfarm.co.uk to discuss options and prices or bell tents can be selected as an 'extra' when booking the Stream Escape safari tent through the website.
How deep is the stream running through the meadow?
In the summer months the stream is only a maximum of 1 foot deep in some places, and the majority of it is no more than a few inches! The flow is very gentle.
What supplies are available in your honesty shop?
Our honesty shop provides wood, charcoal, local jams/chutneys/sauces. We can pre stock your tent with additional items if required e.g. BBQ packs. These options can be selected on our website at the time you book your accommodation. Our excellent local shop in Niton (Norris Stores) has a very extensive range of products and can probably cater for all your needs whilst you stay with us. This is 1.5 miles from our farm.
Do you allow events (e.g. weddings)?
Yes, our barns are perfect for holding events. We have had weddings in there (150 guests!), and also birthday parties. Please email info@sibbecksfarm.co.uk for more details.
What times of the year are you open?
Our safari tents are available to book from the beginning of April until the end of October. Our barns & meadow are available for event hire throughout the year.

What ferry should I use to get to your site?
Red Funnel offer a sailing route from Southampton to East Cowes, and Wightlink offer sailing routes from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, and Lymington to Yarmouth. All are about 25-30 minutes travel to us so please book your nearest mainland ferry port

Do you offer ferry travel discounts?
We can offer guests discounted ferry travel with both Wightlink & Red Funnel. We will provide details about how to claim these discounts with your booking confirmation

Can I get a supermarket food delivery to my safari tent?
Yes. Please ensure you address this to 'Sibbecks Farm Glamping' so this doesn't come to our house! There is a local shop (Norris Stores) that has a very extensive range of products and can probably cater for all your needs whilst you stay with us so there may be no need to get a supermarket delivery however. This is only 1.5 miles away.

Can I get to your glamp site using public transport if I do not have my own car?
It is possible, but not easy unfortunately. Take a bus from the ferry ports to Newport, then take the No. 6 bus from Newport to 'Whitwell Church, Bannock Road South'. It is then a 1.5 mile walk along country tracks & roads. We recommend that the easier option is to take a bus to Newport, and then pre-book a taxi to take you to our glamp site.

Can I park my car next to my safari tent?
No, the glamping meadow is not open to cars. There are dedicated parking spaces for each tent and wheelbarrows are provided to transport luggage. The Meadow Escape tent is 50m from the car park, and Stream Escape tent is 150m.
