on THE farm
There are plenty of activities here at Sibbecks Farm to keep you entertained if you do not wish to venture out. We want our guests to feel as at home as possible. There is plenty to get involved in should you wish but you are also just as welcome to enjoy the privacy of your own part of our land in peace.
A key attraction of our farm is the abundance of wildlife. We have all sorts of birds visiting the farm and even have a resident barn owl who is often out and about at dusk. There are bunnies to spot and if you're really quiet you might see a fox or a weasel or even a water vole down at the stream. And, of course, we have varied bug life from butterflies to bees to grasshoppers and many different beetles. We have bug finding packs with nets, magnifying glasses and books to identify and learn more about our wildlife.
You are welcome to help with farm jobs such as feeding and caring for our animals and are welcome to join in work in our "veg patch".
We will also sometimes have ongoing projects which guests can join in such as bonfires, nature area clearance and willow den building.
WOODLAND PLAY AREA
Guests enjoy our woodland play area with swings, dens and mud kitchen. There's a trail to explore and plenty of outdoor fun.
We have a My Adventure Kit den pack which keeps the avid den builders busy for hours.
The farm has a beautiful stream which we love. You can clamber in for some paddling and exploring. You can use our nets to catch and identify all manner of stream life. Or you can just sit in the peace and quiet and listen to the babbling of the water.
We have a picnic area at the stream so guests can up sticks to the stream for a BBQ or picnic - something we really enjoy as a family.
RAINY DAY BARN
Guests have access to our rainy day barn which has scooters, balls, games and some comfy seating, the papers and a coffee machine for grown ups.
The barn is also where our bunnies, guinea pigs and chickens hide from the rain so they always enjoy the company!
