Forage & Feast in April
Join Joseph from Fieldstudy on a foraging walk to identify and collect a variety of seasonal wild foods, followed by a cooking demonstration about how to use your foraged bounty to create something delicious! You must be aged 16+ to attend this event. No previous knowledge of foraging is necessary.

About the Event
Itinerary
A short introduction about safety & the format of the day
2 hours will be spent identifying & gathering ingredients, under the instruction of our expert guide Joseph, whilst walking in some of the most beautiful countryside on the island. This will be a slow-paced 2-3 mile walk starting and ending at the Sibbecks Farm, with frequent stops to discuss and discover the wild foods that nature has to offer in the month of April
1 hour cooking demonstration from Joseph showcasing how to transform some of the foraged ingredients into a delicious dish. Learn tips and tricks that will elevate your culinary skills and bring a taste of the wild to your kitchen!
You will get to eat the food prepared by Joseph and perhaps some items he has made advance also. This will be enjoyed in the beautiful surroundings of Sibbecks Farm
Attendee questions and contributions are encouraged and Joseph will be happy to spend some 1 on 1 time answering your foraging questions
End the experience with a warm drink by the camp fire & toasted marshmallows
Parking & Meeting Point
The event starts & finishes at Sibbecks Farm, Newport Road, Whitwell, Isle of Wight.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event. We will start promptly.
Click here to view our location. Our postcode is PO38 2AL. When leaving the road you should head 200m straight up the track, past our neighbour 'Sibbecks Park Farm' immediately on the right, until you reach our property boundary. There will be people on hand to direct you to a parking space.
What to Bring
Footwear suitable for a walk in the countryside on uneven and potentially muddy footpaths
Weather-appropriate clothes, including a waterproof coat and warm layers
Bottle of water
A snack to keep you going
Your ticket (an electronic version on your phone is fine)
Other Information
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times
There are toilets at the Sibbecks Farm
Terms & Conditions
You will listen to and adhere to the safety instructions described by Joseph at the beginning of the walk. Failure to do so, may result in your dismissal from the walk with no refund. If you choose to eat wild food, this will only be done so with Joseph's approval & supervision.
We will take extreme care to ensure that everyone is safe during our foraging walk but the consumption of wild food is done so entirely at your own risk.
Minimum number of event attendees is 10. We may cancel the event and refund you if this number is not reached.
We may be forced to cancel the event if there is extreme weather forecast. We will issue a full refund in such circumstances.
Refunds will not be issued if you cancel within 15 days of the event.
